Step 2: Download and extract the Firmware:
Sammobile
Samsung Updates
Or you can search for suitable firmware Google.
After the files have been downloaded, you need to extract them to certain location in your PC. Odin uses file types that
*.bin,
*.tar
*.tar.md5.
Step 3: Download and open ODIN Flasher:
Step 4: Boot your device into Download Mode:
- Power off your device.
- Press and hold Volume Down key, Home Key and Power Key.
- When your device vibrates, release Power key while keep holding the Volume Down key and Home key.
- Press Volume Up key to enter Download mode with a green robot figure and ''Downloading… Do not turn off target''.
Step 5: Connect your device to PC.
WARNING:
DO NOT REMOVE OR OPERATE ON YOUR DEVICE UNTIL THE OPERATION IS FINISHED OR FAILED IS SHOWED ON ODIN.
A Firmware may contain 4files instead of 1file:
- BL stands for bootloader
- AP represents the system partition (possibly stands for Android partition); under previous Odin versions, this was called "PDA"
- CP represents your modem/phone
- CSC stands for Consumer Software Customization, this specifies the features your Android device gets according to its geographical location and carrier
When the flashing process is done and if everything goes well, you should see a big green box saying "RESET" or "PASSED" (depending on the version of used Odin). By now, the device reboot and it is safe to remove/unplug your device.
Flash Process Succeeded.
